GAME SUGAR BOWL (CFP Qu): #7 ND vs #2 UGA • 3pm CT • ESPN

Defense played more than well enough. Can’t win many just scoring 10, and Kirby not just taking into half might be the biggest blunder of his coaching career. Going from down 6-3 to down 20-3 in the blink of the eye with the defense causing none of it

End of the day, I think I can live with 11 wins and a conference title in our worst season in a while. We’ll be back

Yeah New phone saying dumb shit again. Every bad call went against ND
The kicker was absolutely trucked to start the game. It was a 5 yard penalty. Hell -- the guy did it a 2nd time just to show the refs what an actual 5 yard penalty looks like.

Then the 15 yard sideline penalty -- I've never seen that before -- it is always a sideline warning, then penalty if it happens again.

Rest of the game was ticky tack motion, false start stuff, outside the PI where the ND guy didn't turn his head around on an underthrown ball.

Notre Dame PR person just got a stiffy with Marcus dropping that line, “hey coach, when you go up there, acknowledge the tragedy…”

Ma'am, here's the issue: I see your mouth still moving but no sandwiches being made.

Setting up for the perfect ending. Nd over Ohio st with freeman asking where Lou holtz is at? Lou walks on stage and raises the trophy.
Lou Holtz handing the trophy to Ryan Day.

I bet Brian Kelly is happy he left this program for a better shot at a national title. Beating Baylor is almost as good as winning a playoff game.
This game in his backyard too is just

This guy won offensive player of the game!? He’s QB who passed for 90 yards..

First: he didn't hit the plant leg. Roughing is basically never called without hitting the plant leg unless the dude just spears the kicker so no.

Second: running into a ref during a live play is ALWAYS a 15 yard penalty. A sideline warning is after or before a play. So no.

Third: bullshit illegal shift on a guy who was legally allowed to go in motion, terrible missed facemask right in front of the ref, awful PI where the ball hit the defender in the back as he was making contact with the receiver. So no.

That ball had the wrong score on it

I was a senior in high school the last time we won the sugar bowl.

He escaped trouble quite a few times. He made a crazy play in the 4th. I mean, he could've taken 8 sacks, right...

He absolutely trucked the kicker on the first one. Even the announcers were shocked it was a 5 yarder. That is the hardest I've seen a kicker get hit in a long time. Then he did it again the next play. THAT one was a 5 yarder. The first one should have been 15.

No it isn't. The rules official even stated as such on the broadcast.

I do agree -- the missed face mask was terrible. The motion call -- I think was made because the TE wasn't set for a second. But that was a ticky tack call. Those did go against ND.

So how good is NIU?
