Because the ball slipped out of his hands after he stepped out. Can you not see?
 
Penix is feeling it and when he he is off his recievers are making the catch.. This was my fear for this game. That and the the penalties are killing Texas. You can bitch about some questionable calls, but lots of presnap penalties that are killing drives
