Social media is so overrun with political trash 24/7/365 that the second something remotely different happens everyone gravitates toward it like an oasis in a desert.

That’s my theory anyways. After seeing the 5 millionth Biden meme or some nerdy celebrity cry about Trump for the billionth time, an average cute girl saying something zany and sexy is like a breath of fresh air.

Same reason the WNBA is getting more attention too.
