Caleb has shown he is the best choice for now. Rattler was the guy last year and the first half of this year. One thing to keep in mind is our O line was pure shit the first few games. Worst we've had in many years. Has improved considerably the past few weeks. At the end of the night, OU is 7 - 0, however the fuck we got there. Keep winning and no telling where it leads. One thing that is certain is, if the D doesn't get back on track, we're spinning our wheels. Could win another B12, which is about like taking your sister to the prom at this point for us.

 
I couldn't believe my eyes last night. @Thiefery told me that Caleb Williams was over rated and going to bust. Huh

Yeah, the land thieves might want to pump the brakes a little. TCU can't substitute the same back up quality that the teams that are better able to recruit can. That ain't a typical TCU defense. Ain't a horrible one, but not near what they have been.

That said, OU basically has three weeks off. Kansas, Tech and Bye so that's working in their favor. Finish with Baylor, Iowa State and Oklahoma State and then the CCG. Those last three will be better defensive tests for the new QB. But I'm not sure any of those can take advantage of the OU defense enough to win.
 
Didn't get to see any of this game. Did Rattler see the field at all?

I noticed that Rattler was right there at the beginning of the game in all the conversations Riley was having with Williams. Mr. Sticky. Then he disappeared. Nowhere to be seen. He was shown chatting with some white dude a couple of times and they looked like they were commiserating about something. It makes sense that Riley would play Williams the whole game in his first start. Where, or even if, Rattler figures into things from here on out is anyone's guess although my gut tells me Rattler will still see critical game action if he sticks around. All I know for absolute sure is he's getting paler and paler.......almost as if he's just gonna disappear in front of us. Maybe he's the Vanishing Man in more than one way. This whole season has been an episode of The Twilight Zone.

Would have been nice if Williams had last Spring, all Summer, and 6 games under his belt at this point.
 
Im sure Rattler will play the whole 2nd half vs Kansas next week.

Why do you say that? I kinda agreed with your skepticism about Spencer Rattler but Caleb Williams is a lot better QB than Rattler is. For one thing, he can run like he doesn't have a spoon stuck up his ass. He can also pass well. And the leadership he's shown as a rookie is off the charts. What am I missing? If he was playing for Texas instead of that clown Card or the pretender Thompson, you guys would be deadly on O. What am I missing?
