Teams you think are most likely to slip up in March.

Higher regarded teams you feel most likely to bust brackets.

Top choice for me is definitely Purdue. Don't get me wrong, they are not overrated currently. They have earned every bit of pub so far with their schedule. I just think as impressive as the freshman backcourt has been, there isnt a ton of consistency behind Eddey. And on a neutral floor in March I think teams can exploit that.

Kstate would be my other. They have been impressive and fun to watch but this isnt a super bold claim if you look at advance metrics. The metrics like them as more of a fringe top 25 team. Johnson is a hell of a story and him and Nowell are a dynamite duo. But can other guys step up if they are neutralized in March? And Nowell is little.

Viriginia and Kanas are two others. Dont love Virginias offene per usual. Kansas is really good but not deep at all. If Dick is off from the outside they are in trouble. Honestly I think I like them as a 2nd round upset otherwise they just make another final 4 ha.
 
Good question with this. I'm leaning towards Arizona. They got off to a hot start out in Maui, but those wins don't look quite as good as they did then. I don't trust their PG play, and they don't really have a go to guy like they did last year with Mathurin. They'd probably be a 2/3 seed at this point, and I definitely think they would be susceptible to losing to a 6/7 in the 2nd round. They've already taken on some pretty bad losses, whether by margin or opposing team. I'm also a little hesitant on Tennessee.

I think Zona is one of poster childs for this roller coaster season of not many elite teams and just a bunch of really good ones. Sometimes they look insane and other times they look WTF. But I like the fact that have two really good big men. With some experienced guards.

Tennessee I actually meant to put as well. Forgot ha. Not sure they can score enough. That D is so damn good and they have depth. But the offense can be putrid at times. I think they will be the popular pick to be upset in round to against a 7-10 seed. And they either will lose 59-54. Or absolutely blow the doors off the team and make everyone look dumb winning like 78-55.

Purdue will screw your bracket every single time.
Kanas is a notorious bracket screwer also.
The ACC seems off this year to me but it's early so I would keep my eye on some of those teams.
Gonzaga does not seem to be as good as advertised early in the year
 
Sweet 16 is the ceiling for Auburn if they can get there. I like the team and they have the ability to play with anyone but multiple players have to show up for it to happen and I've yet to see a game where the majority of the team was hitting their stride all at once. If I had to bet I would say a one-round win team at this point.
 
Tennessee tends to lay an egg on offense 4-5 times a year. They have already done it twice (Colorado and Kentucky).

Key is teams with tall guard play to cover the 3 which Kentucky had. We don't adjust well offensively. I would say we could be a candidate to get high seed and bow out early based on past history.

Alabama is also a good pick. Although SEC has been good, I could see a rough tournament for the entire league like last year.
 
I think all of the top teams are capable of choking.

The two teams I would still put some money on at this moment are...

1) Houston. They have a fair amount of weaknesses, but Sampson has something going. His system works in March.

2) Gonzaga. They've got losses, but they're still a similar type of team they've had the last few years. Good guards and Timmie.

IDK this Zags team is pretty clearly their worst team. Id be stunned if this was the one that put it together.

Nobody else is really better.

Alabama and Tennessee look good, but I don't trust SEC basketball.

They wont defend well enough. A team like Purdue would eviscerate them.

A&M has a stout defense, just sayin. Everyone sleeping on us, if we only hadn't look inexperienced against Kentucky.

A&M problem is Buzz being a complete dipshit and not knowing how to schedule. They may not make the tournament because after all his whining last year he did the same stupid shit and ruined their metrics.

But yeah, they are probably 3rd best in SEC right now and if they make tourney they can win some games.
