The place I work is a total shit show with the new overlords. One of our installers put his 2 weeks in last Thursday. He and the other 2 installers are onsite, so no one is here to set up equipment. The other installer for the other side of the business can't do any of the setup and only comes in the office 1 day every 2 weeks to set up any equipment he has going out. Only positive is that I'm the only person in the office but my days are filled with dealing with the stupidity of our new overlords.

I did ribs in crockpot when I was in college. I also used to parboil ribs as that is what I was originally taught. You'll get really tender results doing it either method.

My Dad used to sweat over his ribs, I remember him cooking in a pot on the stove and then finishing on gas grill or oven.

Neither method came close to crock pot or smoker. He made some damn fine sauce, though.
