The sad thing is Nick Saban is smart enough to understand that he needs to BEAT Tennessee. He punched Fulmer in the mouth in 2007 when we were not expecting it and they have owned us since then. Time to take it back. I doubt we do it this year but we are making them sweat.

He doesn't realize that if he runs, he gets big gains. The issue is that we have a blitz heavy defense and QB runs can take advantage of it. It is our Kryptonite. Ole Miss figured that out.
 
Can we make Young at least look over his shoulder once and awhile please. guy has life good in the pocket
 
We won't win this game unless Alabama just makes some major mistakes but we made them sweat and that makes me happy.

You can’t scramble on a drop 8.. DC hate dropping 8 though, it’s like OC and run dive. They feel like they have to dial something up or they aren’t doing their job

True but keep in mind they have 4-5 star WRs. They will eventually beat our secondary in speed. We blitz to cause havoc but sometimes it burns us.

The fact is that we don't have depth. Our starters have played amazing all season. The best fight I have seen from Tennessee since 2006. Hell this team puts many of Fulmer's top ten teams to shame for their fight and determination. The fact is we just don't have enough depth. Give Heupel some time and if he can reproduce what he did this season with better talent, we could be a force.

The key will be how well Heupel can recruit. It is too early to tell but we are not doing very well on that space right now but we are on the radar of most top recruits across the country right now. The key will be whether we can land some of them.
