GAME Tennessee vs. Bowling Green - 7 p.m. CST, Sept 2nd on SEC Network

I agree that wasn't a fumble but that was intentional grounding (oh they called it nevermind).

Defense softened up that drive

I expected our defense to struggle. In fact I was expecting something like a 21-14 game at this point. However, Bowling Green's Offense is not good. They do play well on defense.

We have only had the ball 3x and that third drive was messed up by a holding call.

Not worried. The smaller teams take about a half to wear down.

Gotta catch that pass. Milton hit him in the hands. it was a heater but still.. gotta catch that one.

Joe Milton looks just like Joe Milton.

Yeah, he hasn't been impressive the last two drives. He doesn't make mistakes but he isn't finding WRs. Some of it is the WR play though.

Great start, not so great finish to the first half. What is it with UT QB's that they have a hard time learning to throw the ball away when its obvious that they should?

Yeah, they could not get Bowling Green off the field which was the problem. We only got the ball 5 times the entire first half.

No explosive plays and a defense that is going to struggle as I expected.

Seemed like they got away from running the ball a little bit as well on offense. May be by design to get Milton some work.

UT Vol fans on Volnation are on meltdown. Wanting us to bench Milton already and citing a 3-9 season is coming.

WTF
It's going fine.

The 2nd quarter was brutal but it was mostly because Bowling Green had the ball on two drives that took up 80% of the quarter.

Bowling Green is playing the Time of Possession game and it is looking bad. The fans area also all down on we should be up 3-4 TDs. I do think it should be 21-3 right now.

However, I don't think Bowling Green is as bad as everyone is putting them up to be. Some of the passes by their QB were near perfect and hard to cover, their play calling has been good, and we had made mistakes on both sides of the ball.

Granted, I am not sure what the fans are expecting? We were a 6-6 or 7-5 team at best after all the defections last year (from a team that already wasn't great).

Jesus Christ. Bowling Green is one of the worst teams in college football. Tennessee better wake up the 2nd half.

No problem then.
Tennessee marches right down the field and scores.

I think it is more the play of the QB. We are not getting the explosive pass plays that everyone was expecting from Heupel's offense.

Always thought Harrison Bailey was the best fit at QB for yall, but that's just me.

Well, I wouldn't think you would, not this early.
He's letting his QB settle in.

Nothing hard.
Wear down the opponent.
Call the right plays.

People are too impatient
