GAME Texas A&M (3-2) at #1 Alabama (5-0) | 8pm EDT on CBS

They key part being they haven’t figured out yet. Like I said your opinion is based on your personal bias and projections. Your own statements do not make sense. How can you say “A&M hasn’t figured out yet” and say beating them is a quality win?

Homer's giving Penn St a quality win over Northwestern.

You know, because Penn St beat Auburn en sech. LOL

Outside of their opener with Notre Dame, Ohio St has won their last 5 like they should have.

That's the thing folks seem to want to forget about when talking about some of these early games.

Okay, they haven't exactly played Murderer's row...but how did they handle those teams?

Did they dominate them and win by 2 or 3 touchdowns (or more)? Or did they struggle to win by 10 or less?

So if Penn State isn't any good, who does Ohio State play that is good? Michigan?

LOL

Penn St is Georgia 'beating Auburn' good.

They both beat a terrible Auburn team like a drum, but have struggled against what would be considered lesser opponents.

Did you not see the Northwestern schedule I just posted?

Penn St needed a 4th Q FG to beat Northwestern 17-7 @ Penn St.

Did you not see what Wisconsin did @ Northwestern with an interim coach? 42-7
Did you not see what Southern Illinois did @ Northwestern? 31-24
Did you not see what Miami (OH) did @ Northwestern? 17-14

You have yet to address Georgia's 17 pt win at home against (2-4) Kent St
You have yet to address Georgia's narrow 26-22 escape from (2-4) Missouri who got housed by Kansas St 40-12.

But homer on!!

Record Against Top 25 Teams Since 2010
(not counting this season)

Alabama-----------62-16 (.794)
Ohio State---------43-13 (.767)
Oklahoma----------40-20 (.667)
LSU------------------44-25 (.637)
Clemson------------32-19 (.627)
Stanford------------31-23 (.574)
Oregon--------------28-21 (.571)
Oklahoma St-------31-25 (.553)
Georgia--------------34-29 (.539)

The Buckeyes are also 2nd to Alabama in wins against Top 10 opponents in the CFB playoff era.(not counting this season)

That should end the notion that Ohio State doesn't play well against good teams.

This is worthless. Before Clemson’s run they would not have been on any list. Teams records vs ranked teams between 2010-2018 have nothing to do with this season. Every season features different players, there is no reason to use the rear view mirror to evaluate current teams. It’s probably best to just watch the 2022 season and make judgments off of that

Yeah but, Georgia's the SEC flavor of the year. Gotta ride dem nuts.

True dat.

But it was SEC homer that injected the "10 year" issue to bash tOSU.

Every year tOSU is a world beater and then they get thumped in the post season (usually by an SEC team) if they can get by the B1G East (to be fair, B1G East is a tough division).

I am going to laugh if Penn State or Michigan beat the Buckeyes after all this trash talking (especially Penn State).

This crap happens nearly every year with you guys. I am losing IQ points at this point arguing it.

BTW, you are the guys in an Alabama vs. Texas A&M thread pimping the B1G and Ohio State.

Win the B1G East and then we can talk about Ohio State being the best team in the nation.

It was a (Missouri) SEC fan @brin3535 that injected Ohio St in this thread.

He said they're "looking better than anyone else at this point".

Is brin a Big 10 homer?

Not sure how it came up in this thread. I am a Texas fan and I dont like OSU. I merely said I would put them at #1, because they have been the most consistent team through 6 weeks. If they lose to Iowa next week, I will be happy to laugh at them.

Fair enough. I have them at #2 or #3. Still doesn't change my opinion that they really haven't played any one good enough for me to have an accurate opinion about them. It doesn't mean they are NOT good, it just means that I have no clue because I haven't seen them play in a meaningful game yet with the exception of maybe Notre Dame.

I also say write Alabama off at your own risk. There have been many instances in the past where people did that and ended up eating crow. I hate Alabama more than anyone in this thread but I respect Saban (frankly it is more Saban than Alabama).

Homer on.

Georgia hasn't been winning games like they should.

The Oregon game was an opener. It's well known that a team makes (or should make) it's most improvements between weeks 1 and 2.
Georgia beat (2-4) Kent St 39-22. Oklahoma beat them 33-3. Washington beat them 45-20.
Georgia beat Missouri 26-22. Kansas St beat Missouri 40-12.

You're pimping Penn St because they beat Auburn (oh an SEC team) like a drum 41-12.

News Flash!!! Auburn is terrible.

You and WhoPhoneDis should get a room and give each other reach-arounds.

By the way using this logic (or lack of it) you could make the argument that Marshall is > than Ohio State. .

Do you realize how stupid the transitive property is in College Football?

No I can't because I've been very clear that typically the most improvement in teams is made between weeks 1 and 2.

Ohio St and Oregon are IMO the most improved teams after week 1.

There you go. You don't realize your own homerism as well...

I have some homerism, I admit it but you will NEVER admit it.

I think they have issues without Bryce. Kind of reminds me of the 2010 Texas team with Colt. Bryce masks a lot of issues on offense. I don’t think the OL is very strong. Not the typical Bama OL, that could impose their will in the run game. It’s more stuffed, stuffed, big play type of thing now. The defense can be had attacking their CBs, you need a QB to throw it and enough time to take advantage of it. Maybe Milroe makes a big jump from start 1 to start 2, but he did not look ready to play last night. Tennessee has the tools to take Bama down next week
