Pete Golding should've been fired last yearTD Harris - good answer.
Now lets see if the Bama D can hold.
Okay, what the heck Bama D? Giving receivers fifteen-yard cushions.
This may be true. But, Bama scored real quickly with Tua, etal and put the defense on the field a lot more often. And didn't Bama have some defensive injuries the last couple of years? The thing is, Alabama's defense hasn't been dominate since Kirby Smart and Jeremy Pruitt left. Tua hide a lot of this the last 2 years. Will be interesting to see if Alabama continues its dynasty this year. They are still the favorite, IMO, but are vulnerable.
Regarding Tennessee's issues last year. If you watch the game against Georgia State, they had issues with players lining up correctly, following the plays correctly, etc. on defense. The offense struggled as well with JG's confidence and not understanding the plays. The defense figured it out and started playing well in the second half against Georgia (that was TN's turning point last year). The offense never quite figured it out but made plays thanks to Juan Jennings and Marcus Calloway. The offense this year has looked better, to date, but still has issues at times. I thought JG had a better game this week versus last week but our offense still made mistakes that caused us to get off the field and not score points. We should have had a score in the forties at least against Mizzou today.
Pruitt was The big loss. He was The GOAT DC. He was aggressive and I loved it. Kirby was too cautious IMO.The thing is, Alabama's defense hasn't been dominate since Kirby Smart and Jeremy Pruitt left. Tua hide a lot of this the last 2 years. I hated Pruitt at UGA. That 2014 game against Florida when Florida just ran the same 3 running plays over and over again and beat us, that shit cost us the East. We beat Mizzou 34-0 in Columbia, but they got to go to Atlanta while we got to go beat up on Todd Grantham and Louisville.Pruitt was The big loss. He was The GOAT DC. But Golding is Dogshit
