Yeah, fuck all those teams.
They have lived off the big boys all of their fucking life.

As I said, they had 100 years to be somebody and make themselves relevant, but they didn't, and now they want to cry about it.

Fuck Them

I'm calling bullshit on this. Back in 2011 Oklahoma State was a blown field goal call away from playing for a natty. 2013 the Big 12 refs fucked us out of another conference title. Right around that time SI had an ou homer do an absolute hit piece which fucked up recruiting for 2 years.

We were in the process of breaking the wheel, but the powers that be decided because we weren't a power in the 70's to go in dry.

We recovered and our reward is being the 2nd best program in the conference the last half decade only to run into arguably 4 of the best quarterbacks Oklahoma has had. Everyone is hyping Iowa State, but you know who their Achilles heel is? Yeah.

And for spending 15 years building a program, only to see it take a hit because some fan of another school that worked for SI pissed his britches and overcome it to be discarded? Fuck that shit. And the shit thing is the only reason Oklahoma is Oklahoma is because 70 years ago our AD had morals and said no when people in the state with money said they were willing to do what it takes to become a powerhouse in college football.

I'm going through the 5 stages of grief but this is a bunch of bullshit.

Blame Fox and Bowlsby.

The arguably 3rd or 4th best CFB program of the last decade shouldn't be leading off when playing another P5 program WHO JUST SO HAPPENS to be a cherished old rival. That game means a lot to a lot of influential people...and they don't feel it was given due respect. But let's not be facetious....this has been a long time coming. The lack of competitiveness seems to be getting worse and that isn't helping bring home the bacon.

I've figured this would happen for some time...but I still don't see texico getting in/along anywhere.

I've also said for some time that texico would eventually end up as an independent. I now think that texico will be happy to float along in a OU-less BigXIIish-looking conference thinking that it will be an easy way to get to the expanded playoff.

This has been the Big XII for years now.
If you didn't see this coming, I'm not sure what to tell you.

I wonder if Texas/Oklahoma presented it in such a way as it's one vote, for both schools, yes or no.

Or do they vote on each.

they probably are on the same ticket.. so it's essentially both for one vote.

I laugh at all the idiots who think Nebraska should go back to that dumpster fire that is the Big 12. Even worse are ones suggesting Nebraska goes back after Oklahoma and Texas leave while Leaving tens of millions of dollars a year on table moving to a mid major level conference

Yeah right. How long could that last before Texas would start preaching they were the best academic school in their pod.

Is UVA joining? No? Then we’d be the best academic school in the sec. period.

You must have led with your head in that post.

Very difficult to find any list with Texas above Florida in academic rankings. Maybe Texas can claim best in state?

The best analogy I've heard is it's like mom and dad went out for groceries and never came back.

So you guys get everything you want to the point that it weaknens other schools and you are blaming the conference because that created a competitive imbalance? Fuck that shit.

We need a wall

See, we let one immie-gant in from across the border, and now they ALL wanna come over
