you will get teams like Iowa State, West Virginia, Louisville and Pitt and like it.
The problem is, after Nebraska last time we got Maryland and Rutgers. We can’t add Maryland and Rutgers again. So we need to go for big names to match Texas OU or get left behind.

But they are more natural rivals, and rivalries in the past that need to start back up again, just for the money.
Yeah, but it has to be balanced a respect rivalries. That's why UGA has UF and AU, then USCjr. Bama get AU and UTjr and LSU, but someone like Vandy. UF will get UGA, LSU and the USCjr and UTjr.

You would for sure keep UT and OU togeter. Arky and Mizzou makes sense. TAMU and UT don't like each other, so they can play every now and again ... it would be 2 every 6 years with 16 teams, I believe but don't hold me to that.

I think Missouri is in the SEC.
Can anyone confirm?

Mmm....love watching this conference realignment now being in the SEC this time

WVU, VT and I think Wake were all original possibilities. Mizzou to the SEC happened pretty quick, like less than two weeks from speculation to announcement I think

I’m starting to believe that Missouri really is in the SEC.

but I’m gonna need confirmation from the fan of a school that I know is in the SEC. I’m having a hard time taking the word of a MU grad.

Texas and Oklahoma are both going to need 11 yes votes, so good luck on getting A&M, Arkansas and Missouri saying yes to Texas

This. If they bolt it's already a done deal and we are just starting to see it leak. If it's not you have 3 easy no's. It wouldn't be that hard to see a team in the east say hell no to facing Bama every year or someone not wanting to put the two schools on an even footing from a recruiting perspective.

If it was in the works, as has been mentioned both Oklahoma and Texas have political pressure to not bolt on in state rivals. If this goes down you are probably going to see a lot of pre-determined movement right afterwards.

They are going to need 11 votes. A&M, Missouri and Arkansas are going to be a "no" on Texas. They are going to need to convince one other school to join them.

There has always been a gentleman's agreement between Georgia/Florida/SC that when it comes to expansion, they will always vote no on Clemson, FSU and Georgia Tech. I'm going to assume that gentleman's agreement now includes A&M.

Fwiw, deleted that post and added another post that includes more context.

Without a doubt. I doubt the any teams would leave the ACC right now, but even if it were NC State, it would be a good get for the SEC.
UNC and NCSU are travel partners, you don't get one without the other.

I don't know, man. Would you rather get laid any time you wanted it by a 7 or get it only every month or two from a 10?
Quality over quantity. I haven’t nailed an ugly gal in my life...and I’ve had my share.

Forge the absurdity of this for a second, let's just look at what the conference might look like

East
South Carolina
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Alabama
Auburn

West
Ole Miss
Miss St
LSU
Missouri
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Texas
Oklahoma

Fucking stacked.

This noise needs to stop. Texas needs to go independent and the Big 8 needs to return. Too many current and former powers being lopped together.
My post from the PF lol.

This is REALLY BAD news for my team if true.

REALLY BAD
