Oklahoma seems up right now with talent and coaching. I think they hit the SEC hot. All of the scenarios regarding how the division splits have Oklahoma in a different division than Alabama or Georgia (two teams that are at their level). LSU is down right now but Texas A&M is up. Based on how things pan out, Oklahoma wins 9-11 games first season in SEC easily depending on their schedule. Alabama, Florida (maybe), Georgia, LSU (maybe), and Texas A&M are the only schools that have a chance to beat out Oklahoma. Sure, a team like Ole Miss could upset Oklahoma, but I don't see Oklahoma struggling that much. Oklahoma will then get a recruiting boost. I see Oklahoma about on par with Georgia getting 10-11 wins most seasons but struggling with Saban's Alabama. Oklahoma will definitely be a force in the SEC unless they do something stupid like fire their coach and hire Butch Jones or something like that.

Texas will have a different experience. While, I don't think they will be terrible, I think Texas struggles early in the SEC. Texas is not on good footing at the moment. However, with the right coaching and recruiting, Texas has a chance to do very well and become a power in the league. It will take several years though before Texas makes any kind of move in the SEC. I see them losing to Oklahoma, A&M, and the other powers early on but if they can pull and upset or two and start recruiting well, they could turn it around fairly quickly.

Here is the video btw:

Unless something changes - it likely will - they won't be in the SEC until 2025.

Good point, a lot could change then. Still, both schools have a big enough name that to say they will be perennial 8-4 teams (in any league) is crazy. Oklahoma has a lot of offensive fire power right now, they just need to shore up their defense and they will be a true contender. Texas needs a lot more help but the potential is there.

OU has five 4* defensive recruits coming in 2022. Grinch is getting his players in his system finally. OU took a big jump on defense last year. OU is top five in the 2022 recruiting class and currently #1 in the 2023 class.

Historically, the SEC has been the Big 6 ... UA, AU, UF, UGA, UTjr, LSU. Currently, it's UA, AU, UGA, UF, LSU and TAMU. Add TX and OU, you have a Big 8. If you guys come back, it could be a big 9. But there is no doubt that OU and TX are at that level that is a tier above Ky, Mz, USCjr, etc.

Alos, I'd bet that there will be a negotiation that gets TX and OU into the SEC earlier.

LOL @ Nebraska, they're below the Gamecocks in every one of these you've posted in this thread
I know. Our historically bad era is on par with USCe's historically good era.

Curious how the pac 12 will react to courting the remaining big 12 schools. California has travel bans to Texas and Oklahoma due to their butthurt over state laws and tcu and Baylor are religious schools. Don't see the libtardia administration's of those schools voting in favor of that.

What is this, the 3rd conference Texas has fucked up. CAN NO ONE SEE A PATTERN?
We are the DeathStar.. once we fuck up the SEC, we will be viewed as heroes and saviors of CFB

crazy how aggy has been ranked top 10 that many weeks yet only has 1, 10 win season during that span.. Can't wait for my Horns to be preseason ranked top 10.. lose a couple and still remain in the top 10.. #Tex-E-C

Nebraska imitation. "We will be better next season."
I follow trends in football statistics and base my judgements using those. Nebs are just in a very long state of denial. Big diff.

All I know for sure is we would knock the curds out of a bitchass badger’s mouth.

Say, you're in tight with some university admin personages, what's the inside scoop on all this?
Honestly, wasn't tracking any of this until today. The purple people be in tha dark!

I actually worry about Nebraska.. had them beating ou in September as a shocker.. but now that ou is SEC, hard for me to go against my brother. :(

Do it, don't talk about it. Hell, if you had Wisconsin's defenses you might have won a couple of nattys in the 2010s
