If the game is before week 7 I'll take A&M

If it's after week 7 I'll take Texas

In rare circumstances A&M may beat Texas after week 7 but only if it's their 1 traditional post October win on the season.

Conversely on rare occasions Texas may beat A&M before week 7 but only if it's their 1 traditional pre November win and only if A&M doesn't wear Maryland jerseys to mess with Texas

...they were allowed to vote separately on Oklahoma and/or Texas joining the SEC? If they both got in, that would be it. But if one team was rejected, then it wouldn't be that hard to approach another school to round out the membership.

Do you think the ability to vote on them separately instead of as package deal would change anything?

Texas insider on surly said he's hearing it will remain being 2 divisions.
aggy requested that UT be placed in the East and it was shut down
9 Conf games
No FCS scheduling
1 permanent cross over game
Think Bama and UT will be that permanent cross over game

This goes in line with the thinking that LHN becomes SEC West Network

Really want LSU if that happens, but I'm sure Florida would get them. We'll be stuck with damn Mississippi state or something

It’s going to be 14-0 based on recent comments. Someone got brought to the principals office

If they're smart, they will keep playing on Thanksgiving Day.
I loved that game.

One of the all time great rivalry games.

Moneygrab?

"This could be a huge factor in why both Oklahoma and Texas are looking to bolt for greener pastures. The SEC recently signed a new deal with ABC/ESPN that will be a ‘significant increase’ from their current deal with CBS. Each school earned $45.3 million in payouts during the 2019 season. The new contract that begins in the 2024 season will be upwards of $55 million to each of the conference’s 14 members. That number with the addition of both Oklahoma and Texas should only increase. According to the Wall Street Journal, Texas is the No. 1 college football program in terms of value. They are worth north of $1 billion and Oklahoma is No. 7 with a value of roughly $885 million. They would join a conference that has the No. 3 most valuable team (Alabama), No. 6 (Georgia), No. 8 (Auburn), No. 9 (LSU), and No. 10 (Tennessee). Having those schools in place with the two teams looking to leave the Big 12 could give the SEC a lot of leverage to increase those numbers to the $75-80 million range in payouts per season. That is significantly more than the $38 million from the Big 12 Conference."

People would call OU and Texas crazy to turn down $75-80/year each. And the SEC would be crazy to stay at $55 when they could go to that number with the addition of these two. That figure may have made things more palatable for A&M.

The question id like pondered is, 'If Texas decides to stay in the Big 12, is there any chance Oklahoma would still leave?'

If this is about redistribution of wealth, that’s an easy fix. When it comes to our TV inventory, (OU and Texas) probably make up 50 percent of our value.”

LOL. Holy shit. I'd love to know who that AD is. One of the OG or TCU/WVU?

That is the same thought process that has rotted the Big 12 from within since it's inception.

The Big 12 cannot continue with that failed business model.

Yup we're gone.

Our biggest hold up from taking that next step is defensive recruiting. Riley is one of it not the top offensive mind in college football. He knows how to bring the top talent for that side of the ball. Now with the SEC as our home, the defensive players will come to play for an elite team that can make you a champion. If there's an invite, there's no going back.

look man either you have the juice or you don't and end up playing MN, NW, IA..

As far as the cross over, the Texas insider only talked about Texas.. I'm sure ou will get a crossover, maybe it will be GA or something.. just like it makes sense for LSU and FL to keep theirs..

The ones offering UT and ou more money to stay in the Big 12 are Baylor and Tech for sure.. Doesn't matter, this thing is already set and Gov Hot Wheels is all for it.
