I remember the same honks once used the "yEr NoT bY a BEacH" argument.

I'd reply "Well Southern Cal, Texas, Florida, Florida St, Miami, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, all have beaches. Why aren't they elite either?"

Response to what? You have totally lost me at this point lol. If you want to talk about recruiting, just look at Nebraska's recruiting rankings, the # of prospects that come out of your state and the neighboring states, and the NFL prospects produced by Nebraska as evidence.

I wasn't trying to fight you, I was just pointing out a lot of the issues that Nebraska shares with Tennessee, to say things are challenging for you guys (not that you won't be back).

That dude thinks he’s smarter then he actually is. He tried to say the reason Maryland and Rutgers got added to the B1G was because of their alumni base. He isn’t worth your time.

If I've lost you it's because you refuse to get past the same low hanging fruit that you keep bringing to the table over, and over, and over.

Nebraska has Top 20 recruiting classes. They have the highest ranked classes in the Big 10 West for years running yet are the 5th best team in the West division.
Those Top 20 recruiting classes should be producing (9-3) or (10-2) teams. However, they produce (4-8) and (5-7) teams.

Just this year

Omaha had a 4* CB that committed to Oregon
Omaha had a 4* OL that committed to Missouri
Omaha has a 4* WR that committed to Oklahoma

That's just off the top of my head and just 2021.

Nebraska has been so bad they can't even keep their own talent home. Noah Fant went to Iowa... On and on I could go.

You know I can even this debate by saying stupid, uninformed, low hanging fruit shit, about Tennessee. But why would I waste my time with that?
 
The issue Nebraska shares with any blueblood that's not currently 'elite' is elite coaching.

That's it in a nutshell. Anything else is dumbass low hanging fruit.
 
In fairness ESPN should relish a cease and desist, more time to slobber over Lebron, the Yankees/Red Sox and Tebow.

I can see some of your argument with Tennessee as well. We had had some great classes but bad coaches. You can also have great classes but miss critical areas like Linebacker on Defense. (You can have the best secondary out there but if your LB core is crap, it won't help).

Recruiting classes can sometimes be deceptive as you need recruits across the board and not just in a single area. BTW, three 4 stars is nothing. Texas has 50 or so 4 star prospects on a regular basis. Same is true with Florida or California.
