Really just common sense. If the PAC gets a provider to pick it up it doesn’t matter how many people watch it, the PAC still gets paid. Making the argument that a Texas team in DWF helps with landing that deal is the one I’m making.

The problem with your argument is that it making assumptions based on the old cable market which is dramatically in decline. Everything is moving away from how big a market are you in and how can we force a paid package down their throat. It's moving towards who is going to get the most people to sign up to stream and watch. So instead of DWF being the big factor we have moved to how many people no matter where they live are watching. In other words in the new reality RATINGS are king and translate into cash not markets. The new market is the entire country.

No argument the market is changing and streaming will be the thing. But it’s not totally there yet. If the PAC gets a provider to pick this up, no matter how many people watch the PAC still gets paid. Having a Texas team in this helps more then hurts it’s chances. I’m not saying TCU will carry the DFW market. I’m saying having them will make providers more apt to consider picking it up because a team from that city is in it. The more Texas teams, the more providers are going to want to get it in this situation.

I think the PAC needs new blood badly and they need the time zone games so I argue they should take some teams.

I would go after:

Kansas
Iowa State
Texas Tech
Oklahoma State

That is 4 new states, 4 in a new time zone and you pair them with Colorado, Utah. Arizona and Arizona State for a western division. All are state schools so the religious issue doesn’t come up.

You just have to figure out how to pay for it and I think Fox and ESPN would roll in portions of their Big 12 contracts in for the short term.

I'm learning a lot about the DFW market over the past dozen or so pages.. can we get a Houston market summary too? Can UH bring the PAC a whole new set of eyeballs too?

seriously?????

Everyone know Rice would bring the Houston market.

Thats a horrible division split

You're wasting your time with Simple Jack. Everytime someone confronts him with a logic bomb like this, he goes off and starts crying.

You were talking about a top25 matchup of TCU/Washington on PAC-12 Network...it wouldn't be on PAC-12 Network.

Try to keep a train of thought Simple Jack.

You don’t know that. The conference can stipulate a team has to be on so many times. Stop acting stupid. You act like it’s impossible for this to work.

Pretty rich coming from you stupid, considering you used no logic here.

But I see you conveniently skipped over how he said he thinks the pac should add 4 B12 leftovers. Gee I wonder why?

Your conference might do that...the PAC wouldn't relegate that matchup to the conference network.

Does every comment by every poster need a reply? I already explained why the PAC shouldn't add the leftovers earlier in the thread, dummy.

Well take a stab at it then.
I did a long time ago.
Shift colorado and utah north and put the LA and Arizona schools with the 4 Big XII pick ups. Without usc there is no team with clout in that division.

Again that’s purely your best guess. It’s more then enough reason to believe the PAC would have every team on the network at least once.

You have no problem replying to every one of my comments. Your opinion was noted, it was just humorous you skipping ones that you didn’t agree with save mine.

Agree with the adds.

My only question was would the pac have a better chance landing the pac network in Texas if there were 2 Texas teams and not ISU? It doesn’t have to be TCU, but would that land them a better chance of getting providers to carry the conference network?
