I was just looking at A&M's history in football at the following website:

They had some great teams in the 1980s and 1990s. They actually beat Texas far more often than Texas beat them.

I am looking forward to seeing the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry return. I think it is going to be more intense and a better game now that the other Texas teams are out of the picture. This will probably be one of the MUST WATCH games of CFB every year. Texas was a little oversatured having 5 Power programs in the same state. It didn't help that Oklahoma, SEC schools, and Arkansas are also in the region recruiting out of the state. (To me, Oklahoma is almost like an in-state school for Texas as well since they have such a presence there).
There are many that refer to them as The University of Texas at Norman, OK.

Nope. I see it this way.

1. SEC #1 team will have first dibs (in this case Alabama). However this team (unless it is OU and Texas) probably has other regions to pull from as well so really only gets 3-4 players from Texas.
We took 7 last year...All 7 were the #1 player in Texas at their position. Only 3 the year before though, and one of them was a 3-star.

yeah that won't ever happen again.. I hope

Not sure, as long as Saban is at Alabama, they can get almost who they want. Put yourself in the minds of a major football recruit, what are your reasons for NOT going to Alabama?

They are the most consistent program at putting players into the NFL and winning National Champions.

Clemson and Ohio State are probably in the picture as well at a lesser level.

However, I think Alabama can get almost anyone they want right now (definitely the cream of the crop).

right now they are in on two top 10 players in the state.. Denver Harris and Omari Abor.. let's see how they finish up

maybe the focus should be getting the best players from anywhere instead of focusing on Texas. if he can play who cares if he comes from somewhere else

2023 is going to be epic for OU. Already have the #1 players in California and Oklahoma and soon to get the #1 player in Georgia.

Don’t give them ideas. What they are doing is working….for everyone else.

Like i know Texas has a lot of good player and all but i just think if a kid can play and he lives in middle of no where Montana, Vermont, or New Mexico why does it matter?

Oklahoma's fans are in for a surprise. Playing in the Big 8 and Big XII was like being part of a large family; sometimes there were squabbles but it was always "family". Going to the SEC will be like joining a gang. We might fit in but it's not going to be without some serious BS along the way from other fans, getting used to traveling to different places, never being able to relax and coast a bit, etc., etc.

You didn't cover the hazing period which lasts a minimum of 10 years. Until your time is up we don't really consider you SEC and you aren't allowed to make suggestions or complain. If you play nice then we grudgingly accept you. I think you guys make it at the minimum but it will probably take Texas about 30 years (Arkansas took 20).

I disagree. The SEC is one massive circle jerk.

The previous 13 and Bama being the current pivot man will welcome you and Texas with open arms for the additional hand-jobs.

They secretly can't wait 'til it's potentially your turn to be pivot in yourn tighty whities.

Amen brother, preach on! All you sumbitches just need to go somewhere else to get your recruits and leave ours alone.

na same goes for all schools.
i remember when Washington coach went on about building a wall around the state. not sure if he did but he was let go after going 0-12 with a kid from Washington at QB

It's gonna be a hoot playing in stadiums like this. The last OU game in Knoxville almost gave me a heart attack.
