Was it at golf tournament today for a customer and I left a bottle of tequila in the truck windows up. It was in there from about 6:30a to 1:30p.

Anyway, I go back and open up the back door and get a serious wiff of tequila gas and then went around the passenger side to check what the smell was. It popped the cork out of a new bottle and there was no liquid or moisture anywhere.

So I’m driving back to Dallas for five hours on some tequila fumes

While it’s 108 and windows down

At five hours back to Dallas I was assuming you were in Midland-Odessa for the tournament? I live as close to the middle of Abilene/ Lubbock/Midland/San Angelo as one can be.

I made the drive from Odessa to Dallas a couple of days ago. What was supposed to be 5.5 hours turned into 8 hours when I helped two different people with car trouble. One was out of gas and the other one had a dead engine. It just died; probably something electronic. I had to burn a U and take them back about 30 miles and then wait awhile before someone came to pick them up. It all turned into a helluva long trip. I got into Big D at 11 PM and had missed my flight. No way I was going to leave people stranded in that heat. To make it worse, one of them had Texas decals and the other one had Texas Tech decals. I've got OU Touchdown Club decals on my pickup.
