Texpectations: Longhorn Superthread

Watts was a transfer, so is Holmes.. Both got run this season
Holmes was the 4th CB in.. there are as many walk-ons starting in the secondary as transfers. I wish that wasn’t true

I guess nobody wants to watch this game.

I guess that is why I'm a fan of a losing team. I wouldn't pay $1,000 for a ticket to see any teams play. If I want to throw $1,000 away I can do it at the craps table a lot quicker than 4 hours!

Houston would be another home crowd for yall for sure. The Sooner turn out in San Antonio was impressive. It was like a home game.
You’re a giant school that travels and you were playing Zona in a minor bowl.

Geography has nothing to do with a CFP semi. Both schools have massive incentive to travel and the financial barrier to entry is so high that ‘day drive’ considerations are t going to make a difference.

If Longhorns dominate, it’s because we travel like crazy compared to Huskies, not because of geography.

lol tell udub that.. they been bitching about getting the sugar bowl draw since it happened.. they wanted the rosebowl..guess there's more flights to LA so it wouldn't be charging them an arm and leg like it will flying into nawlins

The post was Texas built the secondary in the portal. 1 out 5 starters isn’t building a secondary. Words have meaning

Oh. And the Championship being in Houston. Matters even less. “ daydrive” has very little to do with the equation considering both the incentive to attend and the massive financial barrier to entry.

What’s that?

they were pricier earlier in the month.. outside price the problem was finding flights returning the following 2 days.. those were all booked. Even UT fans decided to drive to the game because the plane tix were also expensive.. Guess there are cheaper flights now.. last minute

Flying, schmying. I still lived in EP when your Texas played USC for the natty. The parade of rusty cow faithful driving to Pasadena on I-10 through EP was very noticeable. Driving back, not so much. Some must have partied more or didn’t have to get back to work.

He’s got a handful of 12 hour layover flights on the day of the game pulled up there…

He’s a dumbass.

Trey is a really good QB who doesn't get any big headlines.. He won the Houston Athletic QB of the year award last month too

$9.95ers

Some roster notes from IT:

-Brooks, Sanders, Mitchell, Crawford (special teams) all expected to declare

-Ewers still expected to return

-Gbenda will either return or follow Choate to Nevada

-Jerrin Thompson leaning towards entering the portal

-Solid chance Watts returns with a move to safety

-They will be aggressive in trying to get Collins to return but he had his eyes set on the NFL before the season.
