Looks like a legit season if we are posting this on jan 11th :)

Funny. Texas lost a tight game in the national semis, while OU was got beat up by an Academy in a nondescript bowl and you run into the Texas thread.
we are all they got lol

It didn't dawn on me until last night but Sark is Lincoln Riley. He's good enough to get you to the playoffs but he's never winning the big one.
Sark has built up a Texas program that was dormant for 15 years

Riley has never built up a program in his life

So now it's Arch team..
Texas is hosting the OG from SC this weekend.. He would be Texas first OL from the portal if he commits..

'25 OL LT Goosby LG ??? C Hutson RG Campbell RT Baker

wonder where Neto, Roberson end up... think they could be real portal defections. I also think Cruz has a real shot at playing Center after red-shirting..

Secondary will look new too.. although I think Muhammed played very well after getting picked on by Clemson and ASU the past two CFP games. Is Black ready to fill on the other side? Mack?
At safety, Taafe and Mukuba (terrific duo this season) are gone.. Leaves on paper Derek Williams (coming off injury) and McDonald as the two safety favorites heading into the spring. JJR, Warren Roberson should also be in the mix. I hope they can get Guillebeau to return for his last year of eligibility.. he's been hampered by the injury bug the past two seasons but he looks like the type to really improve like Barron showed.

Not worried about RB/WR/LB (since they picked up the starter from Arkansas)

DT is still an issue, although I think they got two good depth pieces so far in the portal (Cole and Shaw) at NT. Good to see January getting a lot of snaps last night too. Maybe we can salvage one Bo Davis recruitment afterall lol.

DEs should be Collins, Burke for sure.. I would like Trey Moore to return but he looks to have a real shot at the draft in April. Impressed in the snaps Vasek played last night too.. quick bursts of energy as a pass rusher.. also tripped up Judkins for a loss too. Looks like he's finally healthy.

The '25 season team should have a good shot at making the CFP once again
Your guys have 5 days to portal. How many you losing?

i'm guessing 8-10? maybe more?

I don't think we will lose any current starter who still have eligibility.. but we will be taking hits to some rotational guys that did get on the field/ quality depth

Plus Texas has a defense, something Riley cannot even spell

Just to be positive. Colin Simmons is a gift from the football gods. With all the talent on the field, he was arguably the best player on the field.

Matthew Golden and Jaydon Blue declaring for draft.

So did Banks.. but a lot of these announcements like Mukuba, Holmes, Connor, Majors, Broughton, Sorrell etc.. are players who have ran out of eligibility. The ones we are looking to see what they do are Trey Moore, Cam Williams, Bond and Taafe

Sounds like you guys will have as many new starters as us next year.

Yeah, but the players who will be filling those spots for the most part have been in the program a couple of years if not more.
Arch will be entering his 3rd season at Texas, CJ Baxter (injury) and Wisener also return in their 3rd season at RB.

OL.. waiting to see if Cam Williams returns.. but everyone else has at least 3 seasons at Texas.. outside Baker who probably is the RT if Cam does go pro (he will be entering his 2nd season)

The position that will be interesting for the rest of this portal and the spring portal sessions on offense will be WR.. Moore returns (3rd season).. then you have Ryan Wingo.. other than that you do have a list of guys that haven't played or have had production. Perhaps Isaiah Bond returns? I doubt it, but i'm sure they will grab a WR this offseason from somewhere.

Defense.. biggest questions will be at DT (although they have brought two solid NTs that should work out rotating for each other) and at CB.. Muhammad returns, if Taafe returns he will be paired up with Williams who got hurt during the season.. behind that is some good depth with McDonald, Roberson and JJR. Guillebeau should return and play the Nickel spot (5th year).

It's a good sign that we will have a lot of departures due to the draft in back to back seasons but still have a solid roster to compete in '25. SEC Mike on twitter earlier had an early sportsbook odds for the '25 Champion.. UGA/UT had the highest odds to win it for the SEC.

We gonna be in the semis every year because cheating is legal and we can buy every position two deep. They need to fix this shit or you’ll never get rid of us. Our endowment is as big as Harvard and we don’t mind using it. Get your shit together, cfb.

tejas has always been able to do that.

Nobody underachieves like tejas. NOBODY!!

Hopefully for you guys, if Williams does come back he has a big time redemption year like Donovan Jackson did for Ohio State.

Jackson was the lineman who gave up the pressure that caused the int at the end of the scUM last season. He was a brick wall this season

funny how once NIL came to place, Texas dug itself out the decade plus gutters.. Also coincidentally, they had the #1 recruiting class..something that hasn't happened since 2002

They have yet to lose a difference making player through the portal as well.

Same resources rivals or other CFB fans trolled Texas are the same ones that they are complaining about today.
