It’s a home run. Guy is well respected. This is first time a new coach put together a staff that resembles what you would expect at Texas.. Charlie and Herman brought in g5 staffs and that is why they are no longer HCs

Sark has been doing Zooms with letterman, current players, donors and parents of current players..
Some tidbits from Burton;
When it comes to strength and conditioning, Sarkisian said things will be done differently than in the past. Instead of focusing on how much weight players can lift/squat, the focus in strength training will be more about controlled weight and the speed of reps and how many reps.
Sarkisian can’t believe Texas has 15 scholarship receivers and seven scholarship tight ends. Sarkisian would prefer eight to 10 scholarship receivers and about five scholarship tight ends.
Parents brought up his firing from SC in 2015, and he "didn't blink an eye", owned up to it and the parents appreciated the openess compared to how they were getting only coach speak from Herman who was really hard to read.
Has one more hire to make, (thinks it's going to be a LB coach).
Says he tried to hire WR coach Coleman at Atlanta and at Georgia, but both times the HC said no.. so it worked out knowing Coleman was already on staff in Austin.
He got into detail about the defense since players were worried about going back to the 3 DL front with 4i ends. He said it's going to look like last seasons "to the naked eye" but they have a lot of variations to create mismatches for RPO offenses.

This is just a bad take. It was not the reason, but wearing a Maga hat is a dumbass idea for a coach. Your livelihood depends on a selling young black athletes on your vision. Why the fuck would you ever take a picture that could offend one of your potential recruits? If my job required pandering to young black athletes I would be walking around in NWA shirts and a BLM hat, that is salesmen do. Make no mistake about it sales is a big part of being a coach.
