You don’t know much about draft picks with agents in meaningless bowl games huh
Been watching college football for 50 plus years. I would say I have a good knowledge of that, and the bowl you are in is not a meaningless bowl. Its a prestigious bowl that can help with recruiting, especially if you can beat a defending college football champion that is Georgia. The pity party you are throwing yourself is nice, but its time to move on and realize that there is still a very important game in front of your team and they are still in a major bowl, with a major opponent. Your team can choose to let this setback define them, or they can define the moment themselves and show that the committee made a bad choice. I know which way winners will choose.

I understand. I just wanted to see Ohio State vs FSU/Oregon or GA.

Oregon vs Liberty is even worse.

I'm pulling for whomever is playing texico.

Not because of some deep-seated hate or anything....just so el tejano will lose interest and quit making so many goddamn threads.

“Whoever,” dunce.

They fucking gave us some pretty bad NY6 Matchups.

Give us UGA/Oreogn and Ohio State/FSU.

PSU/OleMiss is good but the rest are shit

Well be in Florida during the Peach and had to pass up some good tickets we were offered by a friend. I like the matchup, agree it's the best on the slate.

This is a result of not going "full go" into the system we're working towards here (two - maybe 3 - super conferences). Liberty shouldn't be in a bowl game. The P5 conferences need to cut off the G5, organize into the "final" endgame here and the playoff needs to start with conference championship games. We have a problem now because everything is in this transition point. The ACC specifically kept the 12 team playoff from starting this year, and then ended up screwing their own team.

Yes it’s a real nice bowl. That has nothing to do with these players NFL career. Players been sitting out of bowl games for years.

Probably time to update your knowledge of college football

Who ya got if it were an 8-team playoff?

1 Michigan vs 8 Oregon
2 Washington vs 7 Ohio State
3 Texas vs 6 Georgia
4 Bama vs 5 FSU

I'd like the lower seeds chances in all but Bama/FSU.

So its not about the teams and games then. Would these same players have sat out if they had gotten into the playoffs? If not, why not? Same situation with an upcoming NFL career. In fact, why play an ACC title game against nobody as that is essentially what FSU did. You are missing the point here, FSU has a chance to beat a team that has only lost to Alabama twice, and no one else, in its last 40 games. And has won back to back national championships. What better a test of your team than to play the defending title winners. Sure, its tainted now because Bama beat them, but they are still a very tough team to beat and they should be healthy by the time you play them.

Yes and no. Depends on the bowl and what's at stake.

I'll start by saying that, while I don't agree with healthy players sitting out bowl games, I understand why some do it. To me, you're part of the team and if there's a game on the schedule, you owe it to your teammates to play.

It's unlikely they sit out if it's a playoff game. As nice as the bowls are, the goal is the cfp. If they're intending to go to the NFL, it's understandable that they may not want to risk major injury in a relatively meaningless bowl.

The cfp brings with it the chance to win a national championship, the other bowls don't.

Michigan was not ecstatic about Alabama being #4.

We see it every year for years. Some teams show up some don’t in bowls. To me that’s college football but you add in the agents and dollars in these guys ear and you know what happens
