The Colorado Loss... The Aftermath

Raiola belongs….one day. I believe

One day maybe, but not as a true freshman.

He's looks good, but it was against against UTEP and Colorado. Nebraska would need to win 10 games and be in the CFB playoff conversation for him to even break that Top 10. IMO

I would like to think they were okay with a high risk, high reward scenario. In their defense its not like they were going to mess up a good thing
That's true but damn, who is going to want to follow up that shitshow and take over the program?

Colorado is in a nightmare scenario here

They probably have to wait at least two more years to avoid a massive buyout. Nobody else is going to take this shitshow off their hands.

And when they do finally punt him, he's going to put on a spectacular race card flinging blaze of glory on his way out that's going to cause them a ton of negative attention.

Meh.

I think he quits voluntarily when his kids and Travis Hunter are gone. He's not going to be able to replace the skill at their positions and they'll still have O and D lines with no time to build any chemistry.

Even if he quits voluntarily he's still going to go on a race card playing fit claiming nobody could tolerate a strong successful black man and he was basically forced to quit.

Arch Manning?

No.

I still can't figure out why he didn't get any late playing time against Michigan. :headscratch:

The game was well in hand (31-6) going into the 4th Q. Seems Sark would want to get the back-ups some experience in that road environment. Ewers played all the way up to the last snap.

Arch got some late playing time against Colorado St the week before in a (52-0) blowout. He was 5 of 6 for 95 yds and 1 TD.

LOL

Everybody's gonna know better because of the timing.
He gave his kids and Travis Hunter a bigger stage than they'd have gotten at Jackson St. That's all he was after.

You know, I was totally wrong about something until listening to a couple of podcasts, and it changed my thinking. I always thought the portal was the way to go. I mean, you can have a sophomore coming to you as a junior for, say, offensive line. I was thinking, this guy has college playing experience, probably built more physically than a high school recruit. But these guys are coming to a school/team because the opportunity is there, not because it was necessarily their top three choices. You have to have high school recruits. Relying on the portal is more like bringing in mercenaries to "fill" a spot.

I feel like some coach coming to Boulder after Deion is gone will have a major clusterF to deal with. And the Buffs really can't do any worse than what Florida did with Napier, Callahan did with Nebraska, Fuente did with Virginia Tech (later years), etc.

That seems to be what drives (or drove in the past) Matt Rhule. I was shocked ehen he chose Baylor with better options available to him. That shitshow was rock bottom and he seemed to enjoy the challenge.

But he was coming from a Temple, not a Nebraska. But someone like him is who they’d need.

The portal is the way to go for specific needs at select positions. It isn't there to turn the entire team over because your son doesn't know how to hit the back foot and throw the ball.

Jamey Chadwell wil be a hot commodity this offseason. If he wants to jump into a major conference, CU would be the perfect chance.

If he's one of those guys that love fixing a broken mess, that may well be his cup of tea. From what I've observed, most don't want anything to do with those difficult rebuilds. A few seem to like the challenge of "fixing things". I personally thought Rhule was nuts taking over that Briles catastrophe.

He took over Liberty and has done pretty well. I think he is the type that likes to do things his way, and you can't do that if you inherit someones players/coaches/system.
