The Dak Prescott thread

If Dak's injury to his shoulder is worse than the Cowboys are letting on then Dallas just signed a 160 million dollar boat anchor.

Time to restart Dak’s awesome offensive output. My contacts are telling me O line is looking very strong.

Dallas is averaging 6.1 yards per carry against light boxes, per Tru Media, and 5.9 per carry on first down. A league-best 58.8% of those carries have gone for five yards or more. Sit back and this offensive line and run game will eat you alive. Dak is also perfectly content to rip off short completions to his underneath targets. He's 97 of 122 for 812 yards, six touchdowns and just one interception on throws inside of 10 yards, with the league's sixth-best passer rating and second-best EPA per pass average on those plays.

But as soon as defenses shift into man coverage, Dak is SLAYING them. His numbers are outrageous. On throws against Cover-1, Prescott is 15 of 21 for 260 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. That's a 152.8 passer rating, which is easily the best in the league. And he is absolutely attacking with these throws, averaging 11.5 air yards per attempt, compared with 6.68 against all other coverages.

Wow. Dak is on fire. 8 different receivers for >400 yards.
cooper Rush should get some game time soon.

Lots of worries about him being in a walking boot. But he has two weeks to get that healed, hoping it isn't more serious.

It'll give Vikings something to think about. I'm thinking he was dehydrated and got a really bad cramp.

I'm liking his poise in pocket and throwing balls away instead of picks/sacks. He's really improved in that area. I think he's the least sacked QB in the league, or at least tied with someone for fewest sacks.

Agree. About 10 years ago I had surgery on my foot and was in a cast basically for 6 weeks. I did some PT after and all is well, except it has started to be an annoyance again so I sometimes walk a little incorrectly. Even to this day if I do a lot of walking like that, usually when pulling something like my cart up a hill at the ballpark, I will get a quick but severe cramp that will be sore for a couple of days.

I say all of that because Dak had it even worse, and even though he has infinitely better PT and trainers, a severe cramp could certainly need a boot to immobilize it short term and then a couple of days to work it out.

Also, Therguns are badass and work wonders for me, so the professional NFL versions are likely even better. He will be ok in two weeks.

That scream you just heard is PE1 jumping off a tall building.
ha. Meanwhile Jalen Hurts looks mediocre at best and the Eagles offensive play caller learned his offensive plays from the original Tecmo bowl.

KC week 11 and Arizona week 17.

Popcorn ready and waiting.

Dak will get the almost MVP this year for sure
