At the end of the day, we will have to win the game.
But, if you don't think what the Committee is doing won't change how things go forward, you aren't thinking straight. I can tell you the SEC will not go to 8 games unless ESPN offers a billion, and even then probably not. And you won't see any more good OOC being scheduled, that's for sure. We have the following:
2025 - @UCLA (Canceled)
2026 - @Louisville, UCLA (Canceled)
2027 - @FSU, Louisville
2028 - FSU
2029 - @Clemson
2030 - Clemson, tOSU
2031 - @tOSU
2032 - Clemson
2033 - @Clemson, NCState
2034 - @NCState
We will drop one of those games in 2027, and certainly drop at least one in 2030. Same in 2033. Especially with GaTech on our schedule, no way we agree to keep playing that OOC. There is no value to it.
Also, there won't be a Committee in 2026 if they keep this up, and the SEC wins the games (that is a big caveat ... do this much complaining, you better win when you get in).
