My niece is a huge Swifty and K Pop fan. She has no issue with flying cross country for a concert and flying back the next day.

I had no clue who she was until I asked my kids why they kept showing this clown during football game. I listen to sports talk radio so I had never heard of her
Lies No GIF

To show you the opposite end of the spectrum, I just made a Taylor Swift bday cake for my daughter.:rolleyes2:

She's gotta couple earworms out there.

My daughter is willing to travel for a concert, too; except her choice of music makes her dad proud. She's going to a System of a Down + Deftones concert in Toronto later this year with her boyfriend.

One point of apprehension, though... My father told me I was conceived after a Kiss concert. I could totally see my first grandchild getting conceived after that concert - right before her final year of college...

A few things:
1. I may not like her choice of music but she is also heavy into dance and sang in a competition choir at Baylor. I am just tickled that she has that kind of passion for it.
2. That's(K Pop) not real music. GRRRRRRR.
3. I told my son he was conceived, delivered, and baptized in the same stall at Dennys.

Singing in a competition choir earns my respect.

Mine too. I admire anyone that that kind of talent. I have never had any at all. I had to take a semester of band and was placed on trombone. That's the semester the band director started taking hard drugs.

Not only talent, but work ethic. Someone who participates in a competition choir puts a ridiculous amount of work into their craft. So many kids have talent, but no work ethic or they have a false expectation that talent alone deserves reward.

Very true. I considered including that but I am more impressed with her work ethic for completing her BSEE with honors at Baylor in four years. It blows my mind that she did both simultaneously. I also have the utmost respect for the coaches and players on rival teams, the work ethic is insane.
