surprised this didn't work better with pigs since we are genetically more close to pigs than we are monkeys, but I guess that is why you do the tests.

IIRC it is not that pigs have a similar DNA as humans but a lot of their systems are very similar to ours in function.

I read that too, and that pigs have some similar DNA with monkeys too.

Kind of interesting. I wonder how that fits with religions that forbid eating pork. Could be a connection.

That's what I understood as well. We do share some DNA, but we share a lot of traits. The article I read said that could be because we evolved under similar circumstances.
