Huh? I must have missed the Big 12 team that made the BCS title game in 12 and 13? They were clearly better than OU in 2012(bowl game for reference), and they were better than K St that year too. In 2013 three of their losses were to top 10 teams. The big 12 had one top 10 that season by seasons end. Give them OU's schedule, it's not to much to ask to split against Baylor and Oklahoma State. And those OU teams were really flawed in 2018 and 2019. A&M racked up more losses, but 5 of their 9 combined losses were to top 5 teams, and 4 of those were to the two teams that played for the title both years.
