The new event filter needs an option to show all events....so you dont have to remove unread events every time.
Each User can set the defaults for all the different FIND NEW tabs. All you need to do is click on "New events", the click on Filters, Uncheck "Unread events", click on "Save as default", then click on "Filter" to save.
Then whenever you click on "New events", it will list all recent events instead of just Unread events.
