The path is there

Notre Dame's season is done. They will be in, but I have no idea why Oregon would be left out if what I wrote happens. Iowa isn't jumping from 14th-15th to 4th if they beat Michigan.

Oregon would have beaten a top 15 ranked Utah team, and has that win over Ohio State at Ohio State, and would be conference champions. It's very possible Oregon can get into the playoffs still. 2 loss Alabama with no conference championship is not getting in over a 2 loss Oregon team that is conference champs.

Yes they are.....lol

I bet they would. And it would be HILARIOUS

I just typed this into 538 and if it happens Oregon has a 43% of making it. That's pretty damn good odds

It really wouldn’t. Bama always wins when they are undeservingly let in. 2011, 2017. Don’t let them in unless they win Saturday
The crocodile tears would be awesome. UGA would have just beat them, no need to worry about doing it again in a month.

The confidence that Oregon is going to beat Utah after Utah destroyed them last week is pretty funny too. They might somehow win but its nowhere near close to a remotely sure thing.

ND will have only 1 loss and in the only game with a common opponent -- Oregon lost to Stanford, while Notre Dame beat Stanford by 40.

Oregon isn't jumping over ND in any situation

Conference championship game, in Vegas and not in SLC, with a chance at the playoffs on the line, Ducks will show up and be ready. Lots to play for.

Didn't say they would.

Playoffs would be...

Georgia
Notre Dame
Big 12 Champ
Oregon

Oregon goes into the PAC-12 championship game Friday night unknowing what the rest of the games on saturday will be. So Oregon wins and those other teams lose and Ducks are at the debate table within the committee room

Let‘s see:

Alabama with losses to a ranked TAMU and the conference champion/ #1 team; or

Oregon who got blown out by Utah and lost to Stanford. Let that sink in. Stanford

Who to choose…who to choose

Notre Dame isn't getting in unless Cincy does, as Cincy would have the same record and would have beaten ND AT ND. Also -- UM would have a much better resume than Oregon with the same record, as Michigan didn't lose to a 3-8 Stanford, nor did they get curb stomped by 31.

When you are playing the same team you just faced a week ago -- the whole conference champ thing loses it's luster.
