They finally show smarts to cancel this thing.

But, that should have been the only plan. Cancel it. Still do Pro Bowl or All Conference team or whatever.

Replacing it with a skills challenge….meh.

I do remember how much I liked the QB skills competition and wished they would bring that back. But one of the best parts of that one was they showed it sometime in the spring or early summer when there was no football yet.

The week before the SB…..don’t care.
 
Always thought it was a dumb idea to risk injury and for what? To play for "league" bragging rights?

Always seemed kind of silly to me.

Pat Mcafee has had a take on this for a while, do skills challenges and put money on them. Like fastest player with a 100k for winning. Shit like that, that would get guys wanting to compete.
 
All star games in general are pretty lame, especially when they occur mid season (or in the NFL's case right before the freakin championship game). Skills competitions are a lot more entertaining.
 
They need to do something like battle of the network stars. Have them compete in stupid shit for entertainment.
