"The next step in that comeback attempt is for Cam Newton to throw at Auburn’s pro day on Tuesday. He will throw in front of scouts from all 32 NFL teams."

I fully expect a bidding war for Cam because you are actually buying a Super Bowl trophy.

you are actually buying a Super Bowl trophy

...for opposing teams

Stick a fork in Cam Newton. He's done.

Fact - There aren't 32 people in the world that can play the position better than Cam.

how embarrassing. this has to be among the most desparate attempts at clinging onto the past i've ever seen.

Cam > Andy Dalton

Cam > whoever the Texans put out there
That's probably true, but is Cam willing to play for backup money?

The popular narrative on Kaepernick was that he was getting blackballed because of his race and/or sociopolitical activism, but the truth was he wanted starter money and no franchise valued him that high. If Cam is willing to play for backup money, he'll most likely be on an NFL roster.

It’s not just the money. Cam wants to be a starter and believes he should be. If you’re a team with a young starter who will go through some struggles, do you want a backup who is constantly lobbying for the starting job?

He took backup money at both the Patriots and Carolina.

Kidding aside I was surprised he didn't find a spot last year. I would think he would sign in the 4 to 5 million range.

Somebody's Auburn panties are showing...
