Think I'm going to have to give that a crack, myself. Got a speed upgrade earlier this year that I've yet been able to utilize because of the old equipment.

Also, guess that will be a good time to hard-wire the modem into the basement office. We're officially losing the NYC office at the end of the year, so I'm going to be full remote officially in 2022.

I bought a better WiFi extender earlier this year, been fairly happy with that. Old one didn't have the 5G WiFi channel, so I just threw that in the bedroom in case the signal gets shitty there. Put the new one near the back of the house, so we get better signal outside and it's closer to the basement office. Likely will just splice the cable line and run a wire to the office so I can be hardwired in the office, since that's where I'll be doing most of the work anyway.

I have an extender in my office and my router and modem in the basement. Works fine, but it def gets bogged down, so we will see if this is where the bottleneck is. I can up my download speed by 300 for $5 a month if I want, but for now I will go with this.
