THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL The Washington Redskin Commander Club (7-3) take on the Fighting Eagles of Philly (7-2) in an NFC East Super game.

Neither of these teams stands a chance in the playoffs. That’s an objective fact.
Who would decidedly beat them? The Lions? I'm not convinced. The Vikings? Perhaps, still not convinced.

You're not being objective at all. Matter of fact, I'm thinking you don't actually know the meaning of the word "objective" or "fact", nevermind using them together in the same phrase.

It's my opinion that either the Redskins OR The Eagles could, if they execute a sound game plan, destroy any of the top tier teams in the NFC. On paper, the Eagles are probably the most talented team in the NFC. On paper, which doesn't mean shit, but it's something. If they're cohesive and the coaching staff matches the on-field talent, the Eagles could very realistically have an easy path to the Superbowl this year

They’ve got Lattimore to look forward to as well, assuming he gets healthy.
Commie fans have to be happy even if this year is a bust...they have new ownership who cares and they have a talented base.

just hoping the don't RG3 this kid

I see objectivity isn’t your bag. It would take another team or several other teams making significant errors for the Eagles to reach the Superbowl. If they did somehow make it there, they’d be destroyed. They’re a decent team. Definitely top five in the NFC, but the NFC looks relatively weak this year.

Who are the top teams in the AFC? KC has shown significant vulnerability in many areas, but they've managed to continue to eek out close wins. Baltimore has been exposed in some areas and is vulnerable. Bills are obviously legit, and we'll see what they're truly made of this weekend. My point is - OBJECTIVELY - there isn't a team in the entire NFL that has been decisively dominating in all aspects and shown to be powerhouse "complete team" status (except for maybe the Bills). Taking that all into account - OBJECTIVELY the Eagles have as good a chance as KC, Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit, Minnesota to win the Superbowl. There is nothing about the other "top tier" teams in either Conference that screams "untouchable". The Eagles defense is as good as any other defense in this league, that's an objective fact. If they execute well and are operating cohesively, the Eagles offense has the talent to wreck any team in the league - OBJECTIVELY speaking.

You’re funny. Talk to me in February.

I take this as you being unable to answer the question...

but serious question...who ya got in SB for the NFC?
It’s the Lions to lose. If they don’t make it, they significantly underachieved.

He was was fantastic prior to this season. He's got a case of the yips.
too much time on the golf course

but seriously, I am not worried about Jake. He's solid. He will fix whatever it is that is plaguing him.

been really happy with Mitchell and DeJean so far.

We've got a huge test in a few weeks with Baltimore. Really curious to see how that game goes down. Ravens defense has been iffy, but that offense is insane

It's either their #4 offense or #1 defense.
I get that we are riding a big high right now and I would love to see them play the Steelers and Ravens...they will be good challenges

But....they're the Lions. OBJECTIVELY, it's in their DNA to underachieve. Until proven otherwise, which there's an appearance that this could be the year they don't continue their Liony ways. But if we're all being objective, as seems very important to you, they don't have the most impressive resume in the world. Their best wins are a close one against the Vikings; Houston, and beating up on an objectively weak NFC West sched. I'm not minimizing it - the Lions are for real and they look good. But I don't think a team with a roster like what the Eagles has needs to be scared of them.
