THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL The Washington Redskin Commander Club (7-3) take on the Fighting Eagles of Philly (7-2) in an NFC East Super game.

But....they're the Lions. OBJECTIVELY, it's in their DNA to underachieve. Until proven otherwise, which there's an appearance that this could be the year they don't continue their Liony ways. But if we're all being objective, as seems very important to you, they don't have the most impressive resume in the world. Their best wins are a close one against the Vikings; Houston, and beating up on an objectively weak NFC West sched. I'm not minimizing it - the Lions are for real and they look good. But I don't think a team with a roster like what the Eagles has needs to be scared of them.

I'm sure people said the same thing about the Eagles in 2017.

Or the Chiefs in 2019.

Or the Pats in 2001.

Or the Rams in 1999.

Hence the caveat of "until proven otherwise..."

History would suggest I haven't lost the argument yet.

The Lions have been just as good (a little better actually) than the Eagles since the beginning of the 2023 season to now.

Nothing in their past is tied to the current regime & team.

you understand how DNA works, right?

of course you don't...forgot who I was talking to

Their fans are similar.
good thing we have no bearing on the outcome of the games...

I get that people get triggered when your team gets talked down on, but there's no reason to be mean about it.

You guys definitely don’t travel as well as Lions fans do.

You’ll never see the GOAT talking about Philthy fans like this:

I wont argue that. And I've already said I believe the Lions are for real, and they're damn good.

But come on. Even Lions fans have to have the word *cautious* in front of their optimism.

I don't know if you're right or not - i don't have first hand experience. But if you're right - that's weird.

I like the Eagles. Great team. Definitely don’t think we are cruising to the SB but I’m not cautious just because we’re the Lions.

We seem to take over every road stadium we’re at the last 2 seasons.

how many Super Bowls have the Lions been to?
I mean the eagles were in a similar situation relatively recently. It only takes one.
