Also my parents split a little over a year ago. My mom will be living with my family and as such she's helping in a major way with the downpayment. It's the only way we'd be able to sniff a house in that price range. Need more monies like everyone else.

Nah it was cool to be honest. It was best for both of them and they're on better terms now than they were when they were married. Amicable split, mom and dad both flourishing on their own. Everyone is happier, so I personally lucked out in that department.

My inlaws provided the first house we bought (they paid the money for it, $10,000). Always thought we'd take in my mother-in-law when her husband died, but she passed 3 years ago. Good luck with the crazy housing market.
 
Justus will have his first tournament since before covid coming up in August. He's gonna compete in the tournament black belt grand championship as well. He's getting excited about it.

Any fun plans this weekend?

I promised my wife I'd spend 16 hours over the next 2 days studying my accounting class in hopes of passing it next week. So, I'm looking at a long weekend.

the biggest problem with sports in general is that going to any game is too expensive for a typical family... Baseball is too boring of a tv game...

But what i do find funny is how soccer is becoming more and more popular, while the biggest complaint was it being boring... so how is soccer getting the young people while baseball is not??
