The worst kind of college football fan?

Everyone who is complaining about too many bowl games. I'm with @Illustrious Potentate...the more football the better.

Don't care who it is...if it's football, my tv is on that channel.
Just can't agree. I don't watch spring games of other teams, I don't watch the NFL probowl, and I don't watch the Senior bowl.

Some games just aren't worth my time. I completely get that some people do like watching those which is why I have never seriously wanted them to go away, I just think they cheapen the game. I'd prefer it mean something if you make a bowl.

Really? You do realize coming in a forum you don’t care about just to say how little you care makes you look nothing but pathetic, right?

I mean, I’ve always considered you a pathetic loser, but you’re managing to sink even lower some how
Relax Sugar Tits.

Fans who’s team has never lost a game straight up. There’s always an excuse. “It was a monsoon”, “the refs screwed us”, “the coach made bad decisions”, “it was on Halloween”, “it was a night game”, “it was an away game”, “it wasn’t really a neutral field because it was closer to the other team”, “the other team cheats”, the other team pays it’s players”, “our players have to go to class and theirs don’t”, “we have academic standards for our recruits and can’t get the best players and they take illiterate recruits”, etc.

Agree with all except the bold. The academic thing is real for some schools. For example, in the PAC, there are recruits that Stanford can't get due to their academic standards that other schools can't. I expect it's the same with Northwestern in the B1G and maybe Vandy in the SEC.

The fans who use that excuse, generally are the ones who don’t understand that they severely lower they standards to let people in. Not the ones you listed.

Ah come Troj12. It ain't that hard to call some of 'em out...although some may be kidding. How about these five? @Kevin12773 @jjc2009 @fordman84 @TigerBait1971 @Blackshirts BLVD Might throw @NU_FTW and @broncosmitty in there for Honorable Mention.
Speak for yourself the Camping World bowl is a national holiday in my house

Meh. Bowl games used to be a thing of honor for an excellent season. Sort of a reward. That all died when .500 teams or in some cases sub .500 teams qualified for them.

No one really gives a shit about the third place MAC team’s bowl tie-in.

Doesn’t mean I won’t watch but I certainly wouldn’t cry if they cut the number of bowls by even 1/2.

I'd rather watch the NFL pro bowl than some of those matchups.

I'm gonna miss the Bahamas Bowl this year.

Was a house tradition to watch it.

Less bowls more playoff.

Fuck bowls, make it a 64 team playoff. lol

I watch all of those. I may have a problem.

If I'm home an there's a game on. It's likely that I'm watching at least part it. Now, if there's some low level bowl game or one of those "all star" type games on and the wife wants to go to dinner or a movie, then I'm not watching the game (I'm addicted, not suicidal lol).

As for it meaning something. I'm sure it means something to the players. Especially the ones at smaller schools where that bowl game might be their only chance to be seen nationally.

Yeah, that's true. I also don't see fans of the schools I mentioned using that excuse. There used to be a couple of Stanford fans that posted a lot and it seemed like other PAC fans would use the academic standards reasoning for them much more than the Stanford fans ever did.

I do remember a certain Alabama fan talking about it all the time as well.
