What did you think of Kenny Dillingham as Auburn's OC in 2019?
Gus just used him as a clipboard holder and paper pusher and I get the impression Norvell does the same. He might have suggested plays but he sure as hell didn’t call them. I don’t remember any recruit that he was heavily involved in landing. It’s not fair to really judge the kid because he wasn’t given the opportunity to be an OC.

He really needs to be judged by what he did at Memphis and FSU because he wasn’t given a real shot at Auburn.

I put little credibility into what a coordinator does at the G5 level.

Troy Walters had amazing offenses at UCF under Frost.
#1 thru #5 in dang near every FBS category (same with Memphis that season). Walters failed miserably when they made the jump to Nebraska and the P5. Walters was let go in 2019.

Judging him at FSU would have to be the only go-to because Dillingham spent 2 years there as OC.
I'd have expected some improvement in his 2nd year, but that doesn't seem to be the case per the stats I posted. They slid in a couple categories.

Are you hiring him?

You mean Manning?

Well I didn't mean "Fost".

No Lanning apparently is.
Ohhhh that’s a bad hire for Lanning. He needed a guy with way more salt on him. That kid to my knowledge has never run an offense by himself and always had an offensive minded HC setting the tone. This is what got Coach O in so much trouble.

I’m not saying the kid isn’t going to succeed but this is certainly a big risk I wouldn’t have taken.

I would have reached out to Chad Morris who is coaching high school right now.

Looks like another example of peeps hiring their buddies to share in the gravy train.

"Dillingham, 31, and Lanning overlapped at Memphis for two seasons from 2016-17, when Dillingham was the school’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach."
