Thee 2022 Oregon Decommit Thread

Lanning is going to put together a SEC bag culture team there. They just hired a guy that was at aggy who came from GA. Waiting to see if Josh Lupoi joins his staff as well.

Phil is going to go all in with this plus his co NIL.. gotta respect it

Who is that?

They've only announced the O and D coordinators.

Nice to have a veteran QB to push the young guys in camp.

Then he probably won't see the field, and it won't matter.
You don't think Oregon all but assured him the starters job? You are kidding yourself if you don't think they said the job is his.

He would be stupid to think that the job is his just for showing up too. He may be #1 going into the spring, summer and fall camps.. but doesn't mean that Oregon won't go with whomever looks the best. If Bo gets mad, he can portal out.

I'm sure they told him he'd have a shot at it.

0% chance they "all but assured him the starters job"

I would bet my life, he is Oregon's starter week 1 next season. It doesn't matter who they have on their roster. They won't come out and say he was promised the starting job, but without question, he was. 3 year starter with a year of eligibility left -- he was guaranteed the job.

He will without question, be the starting QB week 1. If he struggles week 1 -- then i could see him losing the job, but he will be there starter.

It doesn't matter -- Bo Nix is a terrible QB.
Have you seen Brown? The Ducks ran him out there week after week while they thought they had a run at the playoffs. Clearly they didn't think they had anyone better. He's got the ability to put a ball deep, but saw WAY too many really really dumb decisions on his part all season long. I'm sure Bo saw that as well.

Will you bet your life he is the starter in week 6?
