Can the NFL make this go the way of reviewing PI?

I'm inclined to agree.

Silly fucking rule.

Ruined a couple of games yesterday.

I have yet to seen it called in any game I've watched, yet I've seen many moments where I thought the player was "taunting" and nothing was called. It's odd what they deem taunting and not taunting and how inconsistent it is.

That's just the NFL nowadays. You used to just know what taunting, a catch, PI, roughing the pass, unnecessary roughness was when you saw it and while the rulings were far from perfect there was at least some consistency.

Now they're trying so hard to legislate all of it that no one knows what's what anymore.

the first was the only questionable one. You can't get in someones face and you certain can't stand over them.

One of the Seattle DBs made a fist pump after a play like many tennis players do after a big shot and his big play was voided...

Didn't look like he screamed anything, just a fist pump.

I watched 9 complete games yesterday and it was the number one penalty that bothered me.

Phantom INTs are irritatiing but taunting? Really?

There was nothing wrong with the PI review rule. The NFL refs fucked that up by deciding they just weren't going to over turn anything unless there was a situation like the Rams/Saints play that created the rule. Basically, they weren't doing their jobs.

This taunting rule was put in place by pussy cucks who have never played a competitive sport in their lives.

Oh, you mean those huge dudes out there beating the fuck out of each other sometimes get heated and talk shit after a big play? Better penalize them for that. I'd say the people making these rules won't stop until the whole game is a bunch of transwomen out there rubbing their genitals together, but that's not what this is about.

Removing the ability to review PI and changing the definition of "taunting" only serves the purpose of allowing the NFL's dumbfuck refs to control games more. That's it.

I saw a roughing the passer call on a sack. Wtf?

I think the pussification rules are more about boomers wanting the game "played the way we played it". "just shut up after a first down or TD and get back to the sideline" as if there was never any celebration (there were) but they weren't seen by most working stiffs who only got to watch one game on TV per week.

Well and then on the other end of the spectrum you have Herbert yesterday getting sacked because parsons got too close to him. Granted I think it should have been an intentional grounding, but they called him down because he had basically given up. So that makes me wonder if Parsons would have been called with roughing the passer had he got to him. No whistle, just a judgement call.

Wilson got "sacked" at the 1/2 yard line yesterday.....it was a silly call. The taunting on DJ Reed was lame.

Just make plays and keep your mouth shut.

I'm sorry but trash talk is part of sports. You don't like what the mean guy said to you? Go out there and beat him next time. There are obvious limitations but jawing for 3-5 seconds after a play is not one of them

Trash talk is just that, trash.

They’re going to make it really unwatchable soon.
I notice on half of these plays, the opposing players and/or coaches are asking for, and welcoming the flags. The NFLPA’s alleged opposition to taunting therefore falls flat.

So they gave the Falcons a touchdown on that pick six for taunting?

Ya hate to see it.
