yeah… I was gonna say it’s long drive. The bridges are cool to see/experience but the drive may not be worth it.
It’s like 3 hours. It’s not ideal, but 3 hours is not a long drive.

The Dodgers finished 1 game behind the Giants. They earned a Wildcard. St Louis had a better record than anybody but division winners and the Dodgers. They earned a Wildcard. The season records at that point mean nothing. They were both 0-0.

Meh

Agree to disagree. Just think a 162 game season should mean more than boiling down to a game. You could have one really legit starter but mediocre after that and beat out a deeper team.

But pnk did bring up a good point. 09 probably kicked that off.

florida is a stupid long state

Georgia isn't any prize itself. Going from toledo to Tampa one year...got to Atlanta and figure "wow we are one state away"....might as well been 6 states. Think Georgia has like 587 exits on 75

I'm not a fan of wildcards at all, but you start the season with the same set of rules and the same goal. Make they playoffs. How you do it is immaterial.

I think the last time I drove to my grandfather's place near Ft Lauderdale I stopped in Savannah on the way back. That drive felt like it took forever.

no thanks

I do want to go to TX someday...but I don't want to drive the state.

found out last night my cousin's ex husband is on his deathbed due to COVID and apparently drinking himself to death since the divorce a few years ago.

I didn't think the dude was a bad guy...but it sucks to see him go like that at just 40 yrs old
