Well. It's June 2nd again. After all these years, I have finally decided to let bygones be bygones. Umpires make mistakes. People make mistakes. Heck, I've made mistakes and I will CONTINUE to make mistakes. No one is perfect. Judge not - lest you yourself be judged. I think I get that now.

At present, as I type these words, there is a solemn, inner calm inside of me. Love and peace -unsought for - unexpectedly entered, filled and eventually conquered my heart. I shall call Jim Joyce my enemy no more. I wish to let go of the pain and anguish that befell upon me (and him) after that blown call at first base so many years ago. Forgiveness is the essence of this sweet life and is what allows us to purge this mortal sin and dirt from our soul and skin.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Be the better man. Give peace a chance and turn the other cheek.
