Time to bitch about the semis again

I’m sure I’ll either host a party or go to one of my buddy’s houses for a party, but I just wanna get hammered and snort a line from here to California, not worry about a very important football game. It kills ratings too since it’s a night where most of the country is out doing something other than watching football

I think it's great. But I'm old and haven't gone out for NYE for over 40 years - one of my best customers was coming home from a party and some drunken idiot hit her head on. She survived but had over 20 surgeries to reconstruct her face.

If a drunk gets me it's going to be in my family room which is behind the garage.

As an aside, the FINALS ought to be on Saturday night instead of starting at 9:20PM on a Monday night. Some of us still have jobs.

There’s a chance I’m going to the NCG this year, but even if not, I always take off the day after the NCG.

I don’t really go out to bars anymore, but me and my buddies have house parties pretty regularly.

OP complaining like he is 21-23 years old or something. NYE is an overrated party holiday, better spent at home watching college football. Embrace your older age.

Nothing is set in stone, but my buddy’s wife brought up the idea of flying into Vegas the weekend before the NCG, and renting a car and driving to LA for the game, and if UGA loses to OSU, we’ll just have a weekend trip to Vegas.

We were all hammered when this discussion took place, so I’m not even calling them plans at this point, just a possibility

TBH, I’d love to go, but I’d hate to spend that kind of money, so it won’t break my heart if it doesn’t happen.

Of course, if we’re in Vegas, there’s a good chance I wouldn’t make it to the game if I find a hot table or some hot drugs(my GF would go, so I’d have to avoid the hookers)
 
I love the NYE games. I haven't gone out for NYE in like 6 or 7 years. Everywhere is too fucking crowded. We either go to someone's house or have a few people over to ours. It works out perfectly for me.

Last time I was out there I was up over 1700 at a hold em table and the cards were being very kind to me. Wife dragged me away from the table bc we had tickets to see some comedian (wasn't even a well known one)

Then, later on in that trip, she was sitting at a penny slot machine and just playing a penny at a time (not a gambler but she was getting free drinks). I looked at the machine she was playing and you needed to play at least a nickel for the 7s to count. Told her that and she is of course like "that's 5 times less spins I get". She calls me over about 20 minutes later bc she has straight fucking 7s on the machine and doesn't understand why she didn't win. I reminded her drunk ass what I told her earlier. Had she played a nickel she would have won 1800. Max bet of 50 cents would have gotten us over 12000. I was pissed
