Titantic Claims 5 more?

"The chance of family members of the passengers having a successful lawsuit against the company is close to zero," attorney Sherif Edmond El Dabe, a partner with El Dabe Ritter Trial Lawyers, said in comments shared with Insider. "The passengers knowingly participated in an extremely hazardous activity and they knowingly assumed great risk."

That is as it should be.
I agree with Bat Chaps.

All I am saying is everyone aboard cannot be fucked until some fucking commences.
Absolutely. I’d be looking for ways to increase my oxygen supply (killing the others) and spend my time while waiting for help. If they finally found the capsule, they’d find me along with four dead dudes with assholes that looked like glazed donuts.

Granted, I have no experience or expertise in such matters, but if it's out in international waters, how could the Coast Guard prevent them from sending the subs?

I wonder if the issue is not that the Coast Guard/US is preventing The Explorers Club from sending the equipment, but that The Explorers Club has said, "hey, we have this equipment available, but you have to pay the costs to get it there."

Regardless, smells a bit like bullshit to me.

1st, it's in international waters, so why is it the US' responsibility. 2nd, you've got a billionaire from England, and two members of Pakistan's richest family in the can - you'd think their estates would be greasing whatever wheels need it.

So it's in international waters and 80% of the folks in the sub are not Americans, why is this our issue to solve? We can't be wasting millions of dollars to save one American. We need that money to waste in Ukraine.

If they are asking the Coast Guard to pay for a futile attempt that won’t work then yeah that ain’t happening. The Coast Guard can squeeze lemonade out of turnips if they have to in order to save money.
