In fairness, most of those pages were just using this event as a springboard to more interesting conversations.

That sub is toast. It wasn't manufactured and certified to any professional standards. It had a passenger viewport rated to only 1300 meters. Likely when the sub lost contact after 1:45, it did so because the viewport failed and the sub imploded and sank, otherwise the sub would have surfaced due lack of communication. IMHO
