The Packers traded for Titans backup QB Malik Willis yesterday (who would've likely been cut as their 3rd QB), so that tells us GB QBs Sean Clifford and Michael Pratt will likely be cut. One of them might be assigned to the practice squad after clearing waivers. I don't know how much better Willis is than either of those two, but if the Packers had to rely on Clifford or Pratt to take snaps against starting defenses the offense would be screwed.

Texans cut Noah Brown who actually has a pretty good season last year but their WR room was pretty full.

Desmond Ridder went from a starting QB (albeit not a very good one) to can't even make a team very quickly.

What the fuck happened to Allen Robinson? Did he battle injuries that made him drop off so fast as a top receiver or did he just disappear?

Both were released. Who would be the 3rd / EB QB then?

Good question. I imagine GB will carry a QB on the practice squad and elevate to the roster if Love or Willis gets hurt. We probably won't find out who until everyone clears waivers.

Per Packers.com:

The Green Bay Packers have released K Greg Joseph and signed the following players to the practice squad: DL Deslin Alexandre, QB Sean Clifford, DL James Ester, K Alex Hale (NFL International Player Pathway program), WR Julian Hicks, G/T Donovan Jennings, CB Kalen King, RB Nate McCrary, RB Ellis Merriweather, CB Robert Rochell (roh-SHELL), G/C Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and TE Messiah Swinson. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Wednesday.
All 12 players signed to the practice squad spent time with the Packers during the 2024 training camp.

QB Malik Willis will wear No. 2 for the Packers and CB Carrington Valentine has moved to No. 24.

So the answer is Clifford. Makes sense because he was with the team last year and has a little bit better grasp of things in GB than Pratt or any other PS QB that would've been available.

Also noteworthy is that Joseph officially got booted, too. There was previous speculation the Packers would punt both kickers but that didn't happen yesterday; only Carlson got punted yesterday. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel they claimed K Brayden Narveson off waivers from the Titans before scrapping Joseph.

Does make sense. I’d have preferred someone who’s taken some snaps, but then again I don’t want to pay Jacoby Brissett money either.

Meh. Unless you have one of the super-accurate, or super-long guys, I never cared much about kickers.

I want my kicker to be automatic on short yardage and XP tries. Hopefully we get that with this new guy because Carlson was definitely not that last year or this preseason.

This is where most GMs and even fans are too. Every kicker has a decent percentage through 40 yds, or else go out into the free agent pool and sign one of the 2 dozen guys available.

Unless they kick for Washington. Last reliable kicker they had was Chip fucking LoMiller 😟

Doesn’t Washington always let their kickers go? I swear I’ve seen a half dozen Was kickers playing for other teams in recent years.

I dunno yet.

What are you wearing? :)

Okay, unless one or both are mesh, I'm probably not too excited about it.

Carry on.
oh, the boxers are most definitely mesh, i also have some fast fashion silks for the bedroom that were delivered earlier today.

Pittsburg gives the nod to Wilson over Fields.
