tOfficial 24-25 NBA Thread

saw defector had an article about how good the league has been recently.

wouldn't know, since this is what i have to look forward to

The Phoenix Suns on Tuesday traded their 2031 first-rounder to the Utah Jazz for three first-round picks, it was announced.
The Suns acquired the least favorable first-round pick in 2025 of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Minnesota Timberwolves or the Jazz (protected); in 2027 of Cleveland, Minnesota or Utah; and in 2029 of Cleveland, Minnesota (protected) or Utah.

I need someone to tell me what I am missing, or what the story is missing. Why the hell do you trade three firsts over the next 4 years, regardless if it is the "least desirable", for a single first 6 years from now.

Bronnie James has absolutely no fucking business being in the NBA. LeBron needs to put a stop to this abomination, now.

Morant held to 7 pts in 3 qtrs vs the Thunder

Lmao, Hornets fan account

firing a coach with 3 games left in the season while the team is in 4th place and the playoffs right around the corner, such odd timing.

Tell me again why the NBA added these play-in playoff spots? You got 37-44 teams now with a shot at the post-season. It would slightly make sense if the NBA was loaded with a ton of talented teams and deep parity, but when you don't have that, this is like a charity handout spot.

Between the two conferences you have 5 teams with losing records who get one more shot at the playoffs. Possibly 6 teams depending on how the Magic finish the year.

came about from the bubble shortened season where they felt the smaller sample size meant they should give additional teams a chance. the play-ins where extra money, so why do a way with it. it looks so fucking dumb when you have 2 teams with records of just shy of 50 wins in a play-in against two sub .500 teams.

This play-in game is like watching a slug orgy.

Ugliest fucking ball I think I’ve seen in the league?

Ahhh…this is better that the trash that was happening in those play-in games.

How bout next year instead of the play in games they have the two worst teams play for the top pick

OKC beats Memphis 131-80 for the 3rd biggest beat down in playoff history.
