Trevor Moore with a nasty one handed goal five hole

Hopefully Protas sacks up now after last night
Was it his sack that got cut by a skate?

Habs played well last night, hit right under the skin of several Caps. If Thompson can’t go next game, someone should blow up Suzuki.

The NHL clearly made the call before the game that they cant have their precious Vegas eliminated in round 1

This is one of the more insane ref shows I've seen in a while. And probably the worst for a home team

Sad The Office GIF

Caps with a huge come-from-behind victory. As bad as they were in Game 3, they were that good in Game 4.

Oilers playoff games are always wild

They tied it with 30 sec left, going to ot

Epic Tampa collapse under 4 min left in the game

Currently Every series in the East is 3-1, every series in the west is tied 2-2

So Matt Petgrave won't face any charges for killing Adam Johnson:

Karate kick a guy in the neck with a skate blade, and then claim it's an 'accident'. Okay. And the league they were playing in said neck guards weren't necessary after the death too.
It’s insane how this played out. He clearly threw his leg out intentionally to try and slow him down. Yea, the fact he kicked in the neck is the “accident” but the play was 100% intentional. Disgusting how he wasn’t found guilty of negligent manslaughter or something. Hope the family sues the shit out of the player/team/league, that shit is gross.

I do wear a neck guard now when I play after this.

Awful situation

Unnatural move and apparently Matt had a history of dirty play
I knew it would turn out like this, from the moment the investigation slowed down.

I don’t. I haven’t played in a couple of months but I still think I’m too tall for most guys to get a boot up that high. Then again, I haven’t had someone trying with intent to injure me (or arguably anything like that), in over 20 years.

I’m in an old man league now. It’s more the guys who go ass over tea kettle that a freak thing like this would happen.

Ive seen an intentional two hander to the back of the neck when I was playing in the ex pro/college league.

So many guys think the scouts are still in the stands, another layer of protection after this incident works for me.

My stance is people should wear whatever they feel is necessary and allowable. Organized leagues impose additional rules for safety, based pretty much entirely about fears around liability.

From what I've learned, Petgrave was always someone who was going to get somebody seriously injured or worse. If someone is going to execute a move like his or Todd Bertuzzi's on Steve Moore, there's no safety device that's going to do much.

Caps close out an easy series. It was a good way to start the playoffs, since now they have to play an actual tough team.
