Gibson is the best goalie I’ve seen come through the NTDP, but I feel like he’s kinda broken at this point. Don’t know if it’s a great trade for Detroit

I guess we'll find out. I certainly don't hate sending Mrazek away to get him. There's a better chance of bounce-back production out of Gibson in DET than getting any quality production out of Mrazek. Yzerman said he tried to get Gibson at the deadline last year instead of Mrazek, but ANA's injury issues at the time squashed it. I'm actually glad to hear that because I absolutely hated bringing Mrazek back and now it's clear that Mrazek move was "plan Z" Yzerman had to spin in a positive light until he could fix it.

And equally calming is Yzerman just sent Tarasenko to the Wild. I think Tarasenko can still be a contributor to another team, but he's just not a good fit for this team at this point in his career.

I saw some stuff on Kane that really changed my mind about him. He’s befriended some girl with cancer and done A LOT of shit with her. Like taking her places privately, going to her birthday parties and like actively participating in them. Real onion cutting shit.

Yeah, I was happy seeing Boeser come off the board. Was a little worried Yzerman might offer a 2nd/3rd-line scorer a first-line scorer contract because he's one of the only "scorers" that actually hit the open market.

And :lol: at the Rangers for overspending on Gavrikov, too.
