tOfficial Angel Hernandez Thread

Since the bureaucrat commissioner refuses to do shit about this persistent embarrassment it's only a matter of time before Hernandez gets a well-deserved shove.

Remember when he filed that lawsuit against MLB claiming racism for him not getting more playoff jobs?

that's what he wants. That will validate all the times he has been an asshole, in his own eyes.

Do they make the umpire scorecards available after the game, or only when someone REALLY screwed up?

Honestly, trying to define a strike these days is kinda like trying to define a catch in the NFL

That was from last nights game. Yeah, I'd say #1 was an impactful missed call.

Or what a...
never mind. Wrong forum.

I hate that you're right about this, especially since he's already whined once about how everyone is a meanie poopoo head to him.

Yeah, he was disgraceful. Surprised it took to the bottom of the 9th before a player went ballistic over the calls.

Hernandez is one of the worst umps in the game and he was pretty awful last night. However, that last strike on Schwarber was pretty close. Yes, it was a ball, but that wasn't THAT bad a call. However, there were a few others in the game that were just inexcusable. Think that was just the breaking point.

The calls were bad for both sides. These things even out.

But MLB umpires are why I will never be pro union. You have Hernandez who has been around nearly 30 years and Joe West was allowed to retire after 40+ years of incompetence

Most umpires never get a crack at the Majors, but once they’re in the door, they’re set for life no matter how bad they are at their job

Wouldn't say they evened out. You can make bad calls against both teams that have a big difference. In a 1-0 game where the calls favored the winning team by 3/4ths a point...not insignificant.

Both team's pitchers benefited from the large strike zone.
